Katz JCC ACHaD Events For Individuals with Special NeedsACHaD Year-Round Events

The ACHaD Special Needs Department wants you and your family to feel welcome at the JCC and to feel part of a bigger community. We host a variety of special events throughout the year including  a Dance Party, Passover Seder, Tess Norton Purim Basketball Classic, Art Gallery Reception, Bowl-A-Thon, and Community Resource Fair. ACHaD Tess Norton Purim Classic

Join us for an evening of friends & fun activities on Saturday, March 7, 2020 including basketball (ACHaD Squadron team members) or art.  Enjoy delicious hamentashen and ice cream treats. This event is for individuals with special needs ages 12 through adult & their families.

ACHaD Zumbathon

Join us on Sunday, March 15 at 2pm for a Purim themed Zumbathon to support awareness and community inclusion for individuals with special needs. Partnership agencies include the JCC ACHaD Dept., JFCS Special Needs Dept., and the Jewish Abilities Alliance of SNJ.

Registration is online only! This event is $12 per person, or $15 on the day of the event. Checks can be made payable to Katz JCC. ACHaD Passover Seder

April 1, 2020, 6pm – Individuals with special needs and their families are invited to join us for a traditional Passover Seder and delicious dinner. Registration will open mid-February 2020. Important Note: Each family needs to complete two registrations! One registration is for the special needs participant(s) – they are free. The other is for all guest/family/friends that will be in attendance.

ACHaD February Art Exhibit

Join us this January and February as we feature original artwork by members of the Katz JCC ACHaD program and the Samost JFCS Special Needs Programs in our Appel Art Gallery.  We will even host a special meet the artists event on Wednesday, January 22, 2020.  Light refreshments will be served.

Special Needs Resource Fair – COMING IN 2021

Meet representatives from exciting special needs programs, organizations and services for all ages in South Jersey.  This event is free and open to the community.  Discover camps, creative arts, sports, fitness, social and recreational services, therapeutic services, disability resources, transition and life skills and more!


Join us for an afternoon of fundraising, bowling, pizza and door prizes while supporting ACHaD programs and services. This event will be held at the Big Event Entertainment Experience in Cherry Hill, NJ.  They are located at 1536 Kings Hwy N, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
