12pm – 4pm, Katz JCC | Parade from Cherry Hill East High School starts at 11:30am
Free & Open to the Community
Community Unites to Celebrate Israel 70 years of statehood! The entire South Jersey community will gather at the JCC for an event that will rival any Israeli celebration. Over the last year, ambassadors from every synagogue, school and organization have participated in planning one of the largest coordinated events our community has seen.
Kicking off the celebration Israeli style, Kresson Road will be closed for a community-wide parade from Cherry Hill East to the JCC. Marchers from each organization will enliven the parade route with themed attire, banners, hats, flags and their own unique take on celebrating Israel.
Once at the JCC, guests will be transported to a combination of Jerusalem’s famed Ben Yehuda Street and Machane Yehuda Market.
You will enjoy:
- Over forty shops featuring vendors, food tastings, cafes
- Unique activities and experiences for all ages will line our streets.
- A community-wide children’s choir directed by the area cantors will open the festivities
- Jugglers, magicians and dancers, from the community will entertain visitors
