#JCCBubbesBrisket is an Attempt to Fund the Senior Meal Program
To donate online, please visit charidy.com/bubbesbrisket19.
The hashtag #JCCBubbesBrisket was formed when the Katz JCC needed a new way to raise funds for their senior meal program. One of the senior’s favorite meals is brisket, which brings back fond memories and reminds them of their childhood. On average, the program serves 50 meals per day, as well as over 100 for special occasions such as holidays and weekly Shabbat celebrations. It is the largest congregate meal site in Camden County and seniors come to the Katz JCC where they can enjoy a delicious kosher meal prepared on site 5 days a week, take advantage of transportation to and from the JCC, build up an appetite by enjoying an exercise or craft class, and make new friends.
The Katz JCC wants to keep this vital program flourishing and therefore has launched their fourth crowdfunding campaign, #JCCBubbesBrisket, to run through July 31, 2019.
In addition to the month-long online crowd-funding for this campaign, we are hosting #JCCBubbesBrisket Day, 9am-5pm. Staff and volunteers will accept in-person donations all day long. From 11am-1pm, donors will be able to see first-hand the seniors that would benefit from this fundraiser. During those two hours, meal program participants will personally collect donations, samples of the meal program food will be handed out and recipe cards will be given to donors.
The Katz JCC ‘s senior meal program is more than just a meal. The program helps to keep seniors independent with quality programming that enriches mind, body and spirit. Please help #JCCBubbesBrisket reach their goal!
