This Year’s Roger Davis Memorial Community Service Award Recipients:
The Davis Family, through its foundation, has been an active supporter of the JCC Camps at Medford since 1996.
This legacy has continued today, now with the next generation that includes Mitchell Davis and Patricia Davis Lahn, both former JCC Camps alumni.
Mitchell Davis, CEO of Davis Enterprises has three sons that are all alumni at the JCC Camps at Medford. His latest project at the Camp was designing and building the new Welcome Center, which has transformed the way that the Camp operates. In addition to consolidating administrative offices and ensuring proper communication among the staff, the Davis Welcome Center houses the Multi-Sensory Room. This space allows for campers with special needs to have a place to use when in need.
Patricia Davis Lahn is a volunteer with the Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Services and is a former member of their Board. She also participates in several other community-based non-profits, including; National Ability Center, Nuzzles & Company and Make a Wish Foundation.
Jane Davis has been an active supporter of the JCC Camps at Medford since 1996, when she & her late husband, Roger Davis first hosted a “Friends of Camp” meeting at their home. After visiting the campsite, the prior summer, Roger & Jane felt that they wanted to take an active role in helping to fundraise for Capital Projects at Camp which would benefit each camper. Her first initiative, the Friendship Fence Campaign has continued through today and boasts thousands of contributors over the years.
Roger Davis was an inspirational leader in Cherry Hill. He provided the vision and financial resources to the JCC in a variety of ways, but most importantly to thousands of camp children by improving the quality of the programs and facilities. The Davis family has carried on Roger’s legacy with continued generous support throughout the years.
We are proud to be honoring Jane, Mitchell & Patricia and all of their achievements.
