Born in a Parisian slum, this charismatic performer rose to fame on stage and screen as the personification of French “joie de vivre.” But after WWII, accusations of collaboration ended his international career, until a decade later when Hollywood rediscovered his charms. We will discuss the facts behind the rumors and look back on Chevalier’s brilliant performances and troubled private life.
