Teen Programs

The Katz JCC is the perfect place where tweens and teens ages 11-18 can socialize and have fun while building new friendships and cultivate a sense of belonging at the JCC. Tweens (grades 6th-8th) can participate in events just for them such as Canvas Paint Night, Limo Scavenger Hunt, Ski Trip and Thanksgiving Eve Plymouth Rock Hop. JMedia Studio

Be a part of our new JMedia Studio! kids will get hands-on experience in audio and video production by creating their own beats, songs, videos, commercials, podcasts and more!  This new addition to the Katz JCC is ideal for kids ages 9-15 years old.  We will start this on Thursdays, beginning with October 3, 4:30-5:30pm.
COST:  $250/members, $300/guest

JCC Maccabi Games & Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games

Katz JCC Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi GamesThe JCC Maccabi Games are the largest annual gathering of Jewish teens ages 13-16 from around the world! This Olympic style sports competition is held each summer and offers teens the chance to be a part of an incredible athletic, social and cultural experience. The Katz JCC’s South Jersey delegation travels to compete across the county with over 5,000 teens worldwide. In addition, the Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games is a 1 day sports competition for Jewish athletes ages 10-12. Athletes from JCCs across the Mid-Atlantic region compete each spring, and this is a great way for kids to experience the JCC Maccabi Games on a smaller scale prior to participating in the “big games.” Learn more about the JCC Maccabi Games & Mid-Atlantic Junior Maccabi Games!

Project Rainbow

Project Rainbow is a partnership between the Katz JCC and Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Services, aimed at providing support and social opportunities for teens in grades 7th-12th who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer.  Social events will be planned in conjunction with opportunities for group support and discussion.  For more information, please contact Sara Sideman at [email protected].

Limo Scavenger Hunt, For Grades 6-8

Ride around town in style with your besties!  Our Limo Scavenger Hunt will take your kiddo around South Jersey, looking for clues to solve the mystery with their team.  This event takes place annually in the fall.  Save the date:  Saturday, October 26 | 6:30-10pm  This event starts and ends at the JCC.

Coffee House – Open Mic Night, For Grades 6-8

Singers, dancers, poets, comedians and all other talents welcome! The JCC’s new coffee house open mic night allows kids to show off their stuff! We’ll swap the coffee for hot chocolate and light refreshments. Friends and family encouraged to stay and watch!

Parents Night Out (formally known as Plymouth Rock Hop) For Grades 6-8

Parents can put the finishing touches on Thanksgiving, while your tween/teen and friends enjoy an evening at the JCC! We’ve hidden candy all over the JCC with clues as to which staff member stole the cookie jar. First team to figure out the mystery wins the jar!

BBYO, South Jersey Region

The Katz JCC is proud to be the host of South Jersey Region BBYO! With over 500 members, 12 vibrant chapters, and nearly 750 middle school and high school students affected by our programs, we hope that you will be a part of the SJR momentum. Learn more about the South Jersey Region today!

J-Lead

J-LEAD intends to inspire and involve Jewish teens in a combination of leadership development and personal evolution. Participants will become passionate about the local Jewish community through a deeper connection of Jewish values and understanding of community needs. South Jersey Jewish teenagers are open to apply.
