Cooking 1 - Heart Healthy Cooking for American Heart Month Tuesdays, February 18 and 25 6:30pm: Arrival • 7pm-8:30pm: Class Learn to make delicious heart-healthy meals, desserts and snacks without sacrificing flavor. In addition to meal prepping and planning, the class will explore the benefits of whole foods and the use of herbs and spices. We also will learn healthy cooking methods to enhance flavor such as pan-searing and techniques that preserve nutrients such as sauteing, steaming, roasting. The class includes demonstrations as well as hands-on food preparation. Class participants will leave each class with new skills and insights, as well as hands-on experiences and tastings.
