Youth & Family Fitness Classes
When children learn at an early age that fitness can be fun, they stay engaged and active, and build the foundation for a healthy life. The JCC’s youth fitness classes are specifically designed for ages 5-15 and are intended to introduce them to new skills and spark their interest in fitness!
Boxing for Kids
Learn the basic boxing skills and techniques, increase muscular strength and cardio endurance. For kids grades 3-6.

Cooking Skills for Kids
Let us empower your kids to make heart healthy food choices. In a hands-on environment, kids will learn basic food safety and cooking skills that they can use on their own or with the guidance of an adult. Everyone will take part in food prep and a cooking demonstration with recipes that are simple and healthy. Parent/Guardians are welcome to join in on the fun.

Expresso for Kids
Supervised by our JCC Fitness Center staff, kids will be introduced to the virtual world of riding the Expresso bike which offers a variety of competitive gaming options to motivate users to stay active. In this fun and engaging program, participants will ride in virtual games and bike courses while burning calories. Points will be totaled each week with prizes awarded.
Girls On The Run
For girls in grades 3rd-5th, make new friends and build inner self confidence through dynamic, conversation based lessons and running games. Girls will end the program by running a 5K race as a group. Held in conjunction with the Cherry Hill Township Mayor’s Wellness Campaign. Class meets twice a week (no classes week of April 1). Listen to cool sounds grades K-2nd will connect with while learning basic yoga poses to help reduce stress, increase focus and build self-confidence. Also learn breathing techniques that can be used before school tests, presentations, team contests and at times of anxiety.

Kids Fit Club
For kids ages 9-12, this educational and challenging fitness program designed to educate kids about nutrition and fitness while building confidence and encouraging fun. Kids Club includes exercise classes, a weekly session with a personal training and nutrition education.

Sports Enhancement - Grades 9-12
Stay ahead of the competition! This program encompasses the entire athletic development by increasing speed, agility, acceleration, coordination and overall upper/lower body power. Great training for any sport!

S.U.G.A.R. - Start Up Good and Right
Our nutritionist and certified fitness instructors have teamed up to empower your child to make healthier food choices and learn new exciting exercise options to build healthy habits that take them into adulthood. Kids experience four different 30-minute exercise classes such as bootcamp, boxing, yoga or cycling, followed by fun nutrition centered activities and games. Kids will be empowered to try new foods, snacks and recipes with some of the nutrition activities.

Team Leach Family Martial Arts at the JCC
Our Award-winning children’s martial arts program is a perfect blend of karate, tumbling, gross motor skills building, and a whole lot of fun. Zumba for Kids
The cardio class for kids in grades 2-5 is a fun workout with kid-friendly music and routines based on original Zumba choreography. Games, activities and cultural exploration elements are introduced to promote a healthy lifestyle through creativity, confidence and self-esteem. Teamwork and coordination will improve in this exciting class and will leave you sweating, smiling and singing!

Family Fitness Classes
We offer these classes to families with children ages 5+ when accompanied by an adult, which is a great way to work out together as a family!

Family Drums Alive
For ages 6+ (kids 6-13 must be accompanied by an adult), this high energy class utilizes ‘whole brain, whole body’ through dynamic aerobic movements with pulsating rhythms of the drum. Improve balance, concentration and learning ability in addition to getting a cardiovascular workout.
