Conversational Hebrew: Select A Level Tuesdays, January 14, 21, 28 Tuesdays, February 4, 11, 18 6:30pm: Arrival • 7pm-8:30pm: Class 1A: This class is designed for students with no prior Hebrew learning experience. You will become familiar with the Hebrew alphabet, including letter recognition and pronunciation. 1B: This class is intended for students who are comfortable with basic Hebrew words. You will build on this foundation to develop conversational skills and improve fluency. Instructor: Dr. Bill Rosenberg, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Drexel University. He was the Founder and Director of the Drexel University Survey Research Center for 20 years. Cooking 1 - Heart Healthy Cooking for American Heart Month Tuesdays, February 18 and 25 6:30pm: Arrival • 7pm-8:30pm: Class Learn to make delicious heart-healthy meals, desserts and snacks without sacrificing flavor. In addition to meal prepping and planning, the class will explore the benefits of whole foods and the use of herbs and spices. We also will learn healthy cooking methods to enhance flavor such as pan-searing and techniques that preserve nutrients such as sauteing, steaming, roasting. The class includes demonstrations as well as hands-on food preparation. Class participants will leave each class with new skills and insights, as well as hands-on experiences and tastings.
