Our Directors & Staff

Our staff at the Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center at the Katz JCC are highly qualified educators with a passion for nurturing children’s creativity and curiosity. Our teachers have diverse experiences including formalized education, certifications, years in the classroom, and longevity in our community. We are proud to be part of the Katz JCC family.

Stacey Unterlack is the Early Childhood Director. She has worked in education for 27 years and more specifically, Jewish education for 18 years! She attended Brandeis University and has a master’s degree from C.W.Post/Long Island University. When Stacey is not at school, she enjoys cooking, playing with her dog, Toby, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Jheri Grossman is the Early Childhood Assistant Director and, during the summer, the Early Childhood Camp Director. She has worked in education and Jewish education for 11 years and counting! She has a master's degree in elementary education from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to her love of children, Jheri enjoys reading, yoga, and going to the beach.

Cory Arcaroli is the Early Childhood Assistant Director. She has worked in early childhood for 20 years. 14 of those years were spent here at the Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center! She has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Cory enjoys spending time with her family, watching her sons play football, traveling, going to the beach, and exploring restaurants in South Jersey.

Chana Crawford is the Supportive Services Manager at the Katz JCC Early Childhood Education Center. She has worked in behavioral health, psychiatric rehabilitation, and early childhood support for over 11 years. Chana holds a master’s degree in music therapy and is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. In her free time, Chana enjoys spending time with her family, reading fantasy and historical fiction, and cooking and sharing good food.

Barbara Grodd is the Registrar in Early Childhood and joined the Katz JCC 10 years ago. Before moving here from New York, Barbara was a senior development professional for universities and healthcare institutions; she received her MBA from Fordham University in NYC. She enjoys reading and needlework, especially knitting for her niece and nephew and their children.

Ryann Smith is the Early Childhood Center Nurse. She has been a registered nurse since 2013 and has a background in behavioral health along with experience in school nursing. Ryann is passionate about supporting the health and well-being of children and helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn and grow. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and traveling.

Christine Finley is the Early Childhood Office Manager. She has worked in education and the childcare field for 5 years. She has a master’s degree in criminal justice and sociology from Saint Joseph's University. Along with her love of working with children, she enjoys archery, embroidery, video games, and traveling!
