On Sunday, October 15, the JCC will be hosting its 3rd annual Baby and Toddler Expo from 10am-1pm. The event brings over 1,500 moms, dads, kids, grandparents and caregivers from South Jersey and the Philadelphia region to our one-day expo. The expo is held in the Green Family Gymnasium and will host over 50 booths full of information for parents, parents-to-be and all other attendees.
Booths include doctor’s offices and outpatient pediatric services, birthday party supplies and ideas, youth sports programs, clothing, merchandise and many others. There’s a chance to pick up free samples and do some shopping while you are here.
We are thrilled to have Virtua Hospital Group, Ravitz Family ShopRite, Spivak Jewelers, and Cherry Hill OB/GYN as our event sponsors this year! There is also lots to do for the kids! We will have a giant moon bounce, characters walking around the expo, a fun photo booth, a balloon artist, food and snacks and much more!
All attendees will have the opportunity to put their free raffle tickets in our many door prize boxes for a chance to win great giveaway baskets. Most importantly, this event is TOTALLY FREE and open to the community. Proceeds from the expo benefit the Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center, which is near and dear to my heart; my 3-year-old son, Ryan, is a student there and it is named after my late grandmother, Sari Isdaner.
This year will be my third and final year as the chairperson, and what an enjoyable experience it has been. Brian Adler, our JCC development director, approached me right after my son was born with his idea to bring back the Baby and Toddler Expo after its five-year hiatus. We organized a committee of all my mom friends and got to work. Our beginning meetings were held at the JCC with our babies in tow or at each other’s homes. We mostly all had children ranging in age from newborns to 2 years old and we spent hours discussing our myriad of ideas, creating a potential vendor list of all the places we went and figured out how we were going to make the expo a success. The planning process over the last three years has been nothing but fun and enjoyable and the attendance of each expo has grown each year. We have used our knowledge and experience from our growing children and families to make each year better than the next!
We hope you will join us this year on Sunday, October 15 from 10am-1pm and bring your kids, your family members and friends!
