Music of the Breath: The Singing and Playing Styles of Mongolia, the Arctic, and Southeastern Africa

During his second March lecture, Ira Miller will introduce the incredible and interesting tradition of throat singing from Mongolia, the Artic, Africa, and the Middle East. Throughout this lecture, the class will hear what happens when these unique musical styles encounter our own musical traditions.
