Disability Services offers a variety of fun and engaging social and recreational programs and events throughout the year. These programs and events provide an outlet for individuals with special needs to make friends, take pride in themselves, and make a positive impact in our community. Whether you are looking to build your creativity through art or music, a healthier mind and body through fitness and cooking, or a way to stay connected to the community – the JCC offers something for everyone!
The Resource Fair gathers over 70 organizations’ representatives to promote exciting special needs programs and services for all ages and abilities in South Jersey. Information includes area camps, Creative Arts, Sports & Fitness, Social & Recreation, Therapeutic Services, Disability Resources, Transition & Life Skills as well as legal and state supports. Inclusion is the practice of valuing the unique experiences and contributions people have to offer. Inclusion recognizes that the most growth happens when these unique contributions are encouraged and supported.
At the JCC, disability services programs and services is our ongoing commitment to create the conditions for inclusivity to thrive in a way that connects, respects, and values all members of the community.
Our intake form gathers demographic and emergency contact information. We also use the information from the forms to create supports that may make an activity more accessible for an individual. All forms are kept confidential.
No, currently individuals are not required to have a JCC membership as we have a guest rate for activities. However, the guest rate is at a higher price point.
Currently, individual social and recreational classes at the JCC are not covered through an individual’s DDD budget. However, gym membership can be covered under Good & Services within an individual’s DDD budget. To make this applicable, it must be organized and preauthorized with an individual’s support coordinator and a JCC representative.
All our classes can be found on our website, and registration is on-line. All new participants will be required to fill out an Intake form. If you need assistance with registration or the Intake form, please contact Matt Lever at 856-424-4444 x 1247 or email mlever@jfedsnj.org
Currently, we do not have in-house DSPs or one-on-ones. We encourage any participant who may need assistance to bring a family member or care person with them to our classes and the gym.
Currently, we do not provide transportation to JCC activities and events. Our members do take private car services or contact Access Link. https://accesslink.njtransit.com/#/auth/signinregister
