Hear ye, Hear ye! May is Older Americans Month. The theme for 2018 is “Engage at any Age.” The intent behind this slogan is, regardless of age, everyone is capable of engaging in life. Whether it is spending time with a grandchild or running a marathon, to be engaged is to live life to the fullest.
During the month of May we are providing many opportunities for YOU to engage in JCC activities. Every Friday in May, our beloved member May Brill has arranged with the Jewish War Veterans Post 126 to present a different, interesting topic related to Veterans during our Friday Speakers Series from 10:00-11:00am. The Cherry Hill Volvo Jewish Film Festival will be screening Cuban’s Forgotten Jewels on May 7 with none other than former JCC Judaic Coordinator Sahar Oz as one of the panelists. On May 9-25, 12 travelers will be embarking on our Jewish Italy trip with our extraordinary tour guide Gilah as their travel guide.
On Wednesday, May 16 we will celebrate our amazing volunteers at our annual Volunteer Recognition lunch. Bobby Block will entertain while we dine. In addition to the events and activities mentioned, we have an activity calendar dedicated to our older adults. Visit our website at the start of each month to see our most recent schedule. As we are always looking to grow and improve, you have the opportunity to enhance your engagement at the JCC by completing the Departmental survey that is currently being distributed in the Adult Department, located on the first floor of the Katz JCC. Your feedback is crucial for our future growth. A free J Dining lunch coupon is yours if you choose to sign the survey. (Click herefor our May lunch menu)
Every day at the J is an engaging day. Come be engaged with us!
