Specialty Wellness Classes

The Katz JCC has a variety of specialty wellness classes and programs that are intended for people seeking recovery from illness, a specific health condition, or those looking to improve their overall health. Work with one of our exercise specialists and learn how to succeed through the progression of specific training that focuses on improving functional capacity, improving joint range of motion, minimizing fatigue, and preventing illness.


Just Beat It: A Fitness Fundraiser for JCC Staff in Their Fight Against Cancer

Sunday, December 15th

Join us to support our JCC staff battling cancer. Dress up in your best 80’s attire, get moving, and enter to win a raffled basket! Enjoy post-workout snacks, coffee & tea. Let’s unite for a morning of fun, fitness, and community support!
*All proceeds will be donated to our JCC staff in need.

Yin Yoga

Join this calm practice of letting gravity take over your body. Yin yoga is the physical practice of holding opening poses to stretch the connective tissues around your joints. Energetically, we practice mental stillness.

Fit for Kids

Fit for Kids offers a dynamic combination of running, jumping, stretching, and fitness games to help children build strength, coordination, and confidence. Our interactive nutrition workshop introduces kids to the fundamentals of healthy eating, where they create fun, tasty dishes and learn essential cooking skills. Each session is packed with engaging activities, hands-on cooking demos, and simple, easy-to-recreate recipes that kids can make at home. Join us for a fun and educational experience where kids can explore healthy food and build confidence in the kitchen!

Elements of Ballet & Dancing Stars

Elements of Ballet

8-week Session
Wednesdays, December 4 – February 5

Ages: 6-9
Instructor: Amanda Fruchter
Location: JFlow Studio

In this session, a traditional ballet class structure is introduced. Students learn fundamental ballet technique through barre work, center exercises, and across the floor combinations designed to improve coordination, flexibility, endurance, and musicality. Socks or ballet shoes, and leotard/tights or form fitting clothing are recommended for class.

A creative movement series for children aged 3-6 introduces dance basics in a fun, expressive environment. Classes include various dance styles like ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop, with themes reinforced through storytelling. The program accommodates physical differences and encourages interdisciplinary learning.
