Jr. Maccabi Basketball League

Build skills, gain confidence, and have fun with the Jr. Maccabi Youth Basketball Program! Designed for players of all experience levels from Pre-K through 8th grade, our program provides a positive, supportive environment where young athletes learn the fundamentals of basketball, develop teamwork, and create lasting friendships.

Whether your child is picking up a basketball for the first time or is ready for league play, there’s a program designed just for them.

Basketball Academy: Rookie Division (Pre-K & Kindergarten)

Sundays | December 6, 2026 – February 7, 2027

Our 8-week Basketball Academy introduces young players to the game through age-appropriate instruction, skill development, and plenty of fun. Perfect for first-time players and children who are new to basketball. Parents participate alongside coaches to help young athletes feel comfortable while learning the basics of the game.

Players will learn:

  • Dribbling, passing, and shooting fundamentals
  • Basic basketball rules and terminology
  • Teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Confidence through fun, engaging activities

  • Rookie Pre-K: Sundays, 10:00 – 10:25 AM

Basketball Academy: Veteran Division (Pre-K & Kindergarten)

Sundays | December 6, 2026 – February 7, 2027

Our 8-week Basketball Academy introduces young players to the game through age-appropriate instruction, skill development, and plenty of fun. Our Veteran Division is designed for players with previous basketball experience who are ready for a more independent learning environment. Parents take a more hands-off role while coaches continue developing each player’s skills.

Players will continue to build:

  • Basketball fundamentals
  • Game knowledge
  • Coordination and confidence
  • Teamwork and sportsmanship

Basketball Academy (1st & 2nd Grade)

Sundays | December 6, 2026 – February 7, 2027

This 8-week program helps young athletes strengthen their basketball skills in a fun, structured environment.

During the first four weeks, players focus on basketball fundamentals, skill development, and game concepts through clinic-style instruction. In the final four weeks, players participate in modified games where they apply their new skills while building confidence through game play.

Recreation League (3rd Grade - 8th Grade)

Playoffs |  February 14, 2027

The Jr. Maccabi Recreation League is designed for players who enjoy basketball in a fun, recreational setting. Led by dedicated volunteer parent coaches, the league includes weekly practices and games that emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and player development.

Players will:

  • Improve basketball skills through real game experience
  • Learn teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Build confidence on the court
  • Be part of the Jr. Maccabi basketball community
