The JCC is the perfect place for teens ages 13-19 to grow and socialize with their peers. Whether you are looking to take part of a basketball team, jump in on a pick-up game or explore leadership opportunities, the JCC is the place to be! We also offer teens the opportunity to join our Junior Maccabi Basketball League staff to assist our young players.
For teens ages 13-19 years old.
Teams are forming now! This basketball league is open to teens in grades 9-12 with teams ranging from 7-10 players (maximum of 4 teams). Each participant will receive a t-shirt, weekly stats, a prize for league champions and officials at each game.
Our ACHaD Squadron is for ages 14 and up, where individuals with special needs will join their peers and develop basketball skills through drills and game play. This program meets every Monday during the season September through June. For more information about this league, contact Nina Staiman, ACHaD Special Needs Services Director.
Athletes also participate in Olympic-style Opening Ceremonies and JCC Cares, local community service projects that promote important Judaic and human values and leave an impact on the local community. The Katz JCC was a proud host of the JCC Maccabi Games® in 1999 and 2014.
Athletes compete each spring, and this is a great way for kids to experience the JCC Maccabi Games® on a smaller scale prior to participating in the “big games”. Sports include: Baseball, Boys and Girls Basketball, Boys and Girls Soccer, Swimming, and Tennis
