The Katz JCC hosts many fitness and wellness special events throughout the year that are open to the community. All these events are a great way to get your family and friends involved in a healthy activity!

How to Stay Fit Where You Sit Wellness Lecture

Dr. Scott Yorker will be giving one on one instruction on how to sit with proper body mechanics and ergonomics and will give instruction on exercises to fix the common problems associated with sitting incuding back and neck pain related to headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome. Refreshments will e served and all attendees will receive a free private consultation with Dr. Yorker.

Indoor Wiffleball Tournament

Round up a team and play ball in our wiffleball tournament. Teams are comprised of 3-4 players. Ages 15+.

FREE Menopause and Metabolism

Whether you’re trying to cope with menopausal symptoms or just looking for a little balance in your life, there are a number of things you can do to benefit your overall health and well-being. Women of all ages and stages of menopause will benefit fro learning how to alter what and when you eat as your body goes through these changes.

Maintain to Gain Challenge

Get a head start on your New Year’s resolution to stay healthy!

Maintain your current weight throughout the holidays and be entered to win a JCC gift card. All participants who lose weight will be entered into an additional drawing for a special prize. Fitness information, tips and recipes will be provided to help participants be successful.

FREE Neck, Arm and Wrist Pain Wellness Lecture

Dr. Scott Yorker will instruct how to prevent the most common causes of neck, arm and wrist pain, as well as provide guidance on one on one exercises designed to strengthen these areas.

Oy Vey 5K

Lace up your running sneakers and wear your favorite team jersey. Stay and watch the Eagles on the big screen TV. Celebrate with a bagel breakfast, refreshments and football tailgate after party.

Kids Triathlon

Our annual Kids Triathlon is open to kids in the community ages 6-13. Our kid-friendly course allows participants to be a part of a heart-healthy activity and gain a sense of accomplishment as they swim, bike and run to the finish line.

Eric & Andy Sussman 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

This event is held in the spring each year, in memory of local brothers who lost their individual battles to cancer. Tournaments are held for adults, teens and children.  Proceeds from the event benefit Coaches vs. Cancer and the JCC’s youth basketball programs.
