Fall weather is finally in the air.  I loved feeling like it was still summer all the way through the beginning of this month, but I am happy for some cooler air and pumpkin-flavored everything!  Fall also means that it is time for the annual Katz JCC Bump 2 Baby Expo!

Previously known as the Baby Toddler Expo, this year we updated the name to reflect our partnership in hosting this amazing event with Advocare Premier OB/GYN!  The Bump 2 Baby Expo will be held this Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 10am-1pm and is a completely free and open to the entire community.  But, most importantly, it is fun!  The event will feature over 65 booths to visit, filling up both the Green Family Gymnasium and Lahn Social Hall.

And don’t let the name fool you, this event is great for kids of all ages!  My now six-year-old daughter, Lola, had a blast last year in the bouncy house, taking fun pictures in the photo booth, seeing the characters walking around, sampling free snacks, and painting her hand print on a tile to take home.  Everyone that attends will receive a sheet of free raffle tickets and can enter to win one of our great door prize baskets.

When I was asked last winter to chair this event, I jumped on the opportunity.  I had just recently attended the Baby Toddler Expo, and as my sister in law Lisa can attest, I raved about how great the event was. My entire family enjoyed the morning and we came home with awesome giveaways including great items from one of the event sponsors, Ravitz Family Shop Rite.  But not only did I accept because I thought it was such a great event, but also because the proceeds benefit the programs and services of the Sari Isdaner Early Childhood Center at the Katz JCC, where my daughter graduated from kindergarten last year.  The Katz JCC and Early Childhood Center have given so much to me and my family, and I was thrilled at the opportunity to help give back. The Proceeds from this years event will also benefit March of Dimes.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
