Please Note:
Team placement is based on each swimmer’s skill level demonstrated at tryouts.
Practice days and times vary by team and will be confirmed after tryouts.
Season registration and tuition are not due at tryouts. Families will receive registration instructions and payment information after team placements have been finalized.
Swim Team Tryout Policy
Our swim team tryouts are designed to evaluate each swimmer’s current skill level—not endurance. This allows our coaching staff to place every swimmer in the training group where they will be most successful and continue to develop.
If we determine that a swimmer would benefit from additional skill development, they may be placed in Pre-Team or another training group that better matches their abilities. Likewise, swimmers demonstrating advanced skills may be placed in a more challenging training group. Team placement is based on ability and coach evaluation.
What’s Next After Tryouts?
Within a few days after tryouts, families will receive an email with their swimmer’s placement and next steps. This email will include:
Team Placement: Which Sharks team your swimmer has been assigned to based on the coaches’ evaluation.
Practice Schedule: The days and times for your swimmer’s assigned practice group.
Season Calendar: A calendar outlining the season schedule, including practice start dates, planned days off, holidays, and swim meet dates.
Registration Information: A link to complete your swimmer’s registration for the 2026–2027 season.
Payment Options: Season tuition is due after team placements have been announced. Families may pay in full or choose a 3-month payment plan for added flexibility.
Please note: Season registration and tuition are not due at tryouts. Registration will open after team placements have been finalized, and your swimmer’s spot will be secured once registration is completed.
